For baby, bring a few jammies and outfits. In different sizes. I made the mistake of only bringing newborn and had a 9lbs baby that was in 3months at birth... had to send my husband home to get cute outfits and you can imagine what a man would consider cute, isn't what I would've brought 😅... so definitely 0-3m or 3m. My hospital allowed me to put him in the stuff I brought after they bathed him. Average is a 2 night stay after birth. I only stayed one night.

Diapers (use he hospital ones while there, you're paying for them anyways), pacifiers, nipple cream if you're breastfeeding.

For you, breastfeeding cover if you expect guests... just in case... night gown/pajama set... I recommend a dress... it might get stained .. motherhood maternity has nursing ones for the hospital with matching robes. An outfit to go home in... sweat pants or something you fit into at around 6 months pregnant... comfortable. Extra big maxi pads. Grandma panties that will likely get ruined. Protein bars, headphones, chargers, snacks for dad... make up and toiletries. Clothes for dad... plastic flip flops for the shower... hair ties... phone chargers.. things like that.

If not planning on breastfeeding I guess you should take bottles and formula? Idk I think the hospital provides you with them anyway. I was able to nurse mine so I don't remember...

And insurance cards, IDs and cash for vending machines... you'll also have to fill out a bunch of paperwork and decide on vaccines and stuff and what type of pain medication you want etc. It's a little overwhelming when you first get in..
