the first nights always the hardest.... right?

Everything was good last night until around 11, we wanted to try and go bed. But baby got so extremely fussy! He was fed, diaper changed, comfortable. I am recovering from a c section so I felt terrible my poor husband was up walking baby around(he seemed to like it) then we were finally able to rock him to sleep around 3. 
I felt like I had no idea what I was doing. Did i feed him to much? Was he just not tired? 
It was our first night home so we all were a little overwhelmed. 
But tonight will be better... right?

Our first few nights were hard. Turns out baby was hungry. I was trying to breastfeed and he wasn't getting enough. Hope things start getting better for you.

Babies are fussy over the littlest things,  like not being able to get comfortable.. my baby is 21 days old today and I'm a 2nd time mom btw.. it's been hard to adapt to a crying baby bc i had my 1st 11 yrs ago. It does get easier and i have to remind myself that he isn't going to be this little forever.. then i start thinking about how emotional in gonna be when he's not a baby anymore 😢 i guess the fussiness is all worth it even if it makes us wanna pull our hair out 😏

Our first couple nights home were horrible!!😖Baby (and I) did not sleep well in the hospital at all either. He was doing the same thing-breastfeeding all night, wanting to comfort suck, and he was really gassy/fussy. The nurse took him for me for a couple hours one night so I could get a little sleep and that's all the sleep I got for the next several days. I was so afraid I had a colicky baby! I just decided to keep him in my bed with me, which I didn't want to do, (he hates his bassinet!) but he's sleeping so much better! Four hour stretches sometimes. It will get better!!😘

Our first night home was very overwhelming too. We were still working on getting a feeding routine and she still was having a hard time latching. I didn't get any sleep and ended up crying for half the night because I felt like I was a failure! The nights to follow came easier night by night and tonight will be our fourth night home!

I had c section as well.. first and second night was the worst. I was crying with our little was as I thought I was doing something wrong. But apparently she was just having fussy day. That was told by my midwife.  So I wouldn't worry :* sometimes they just like to be hold and feel close to you. Good luck!

My baby is 17 days old and has been extremely fussy for a few nights now it seems that as soon as 9 pm rolls around he is wide awake. One night I was up with him till 730am! He loves to comfort suckle and cuddle with us but unfortunately we just can't sleep with him ☹️

We had a really rough first night too!  My husband came down with a nasty cold the day we were discharged from the hospital. So he was downstairs quarantined as to not get me and baby sick.  I was upstairs alone up all night with the baby.  My husband called my mother the first thing in the morning and she came over and stayed two nights so she could help me while my husband got better.

We are now at four weeks and things are better.  He is still not sleeping more than 2-3 hours at night but we are getting a little sleep in!
