privilege

I like the way this post talks about privilege. For 8 years, I didn't have to talk about politics because I felt safe. Now I don't. I and my friends are personally affected by what Trump is doing. I am a US citizen but have friends who are international. The thought of him tearing their families apart is dreadful especially since they have American husbands and children. How can anyone want them to be apart? Or want the children to grow up elsewhere besides the US? That would be the only choice if you want your family to stay together. So for those people say it's only 120 days or 90 days, imagine not knowing if you can see your family for that time period or even live the life you've built for years. If you can't imagine being away from your baby that long, then I ask you to have some empathy and see it from the other perspective.
