This was my first pregnancy using this app! I have two boys.... Had a miscarriage... Then my rainbow baby came and it was my long awaited baby girl!!!! I absolutely loved this app and it encouraged and helped me every single day, week and month of this journey!! I would highly recommend it to other mommies! I had my membranes swept at my appt on Thursday January 19, 2017...I was 38 + 1. I walked the mall and grocery store the next few days. My baby shower was on Saturday the 21st...I was having cramping but nothing out of the ordinary. The next day we had church and I taught Sunday school... Everything was normal. We came home and had lunch and my mom and Nana helped me pack my little lady's bag then I lied down for a nap after. I woke up around 430 and decided to go for an evening walk. Upon leaving out the door I felt some fluid come out.. Not much so thought maybe it's just her head pressing on my bladder lol but about 20 minutes into my walk I felt yet more fluid come out this time it wet my underwear enough to cause question lol. So I was trying to power walk home being wet and feeling like everyone knew that passed me by lol. I called my Dr and she advised mE to come in... So I got home... Showered... Threw the rest of my bag together and everyone was running wild haha... Hubby and my sister rushed mE to the hospital around 545pm though I felt no reason to rush I still felt fine haha. So we went to OB Triage.. After a few tests it was finalized that it was indeed my water that broke!!! After many false alarms IN the prior weeks... It's was so wonderful to hear she was on her way. So I got admitted... Hubby went to get us all food and then him and my mom walked the hospital and stairs for about an hour. This was after 7pm be and my contractions just weren't getting strong enough... I was on the monitor for about 2 hours then around 1145 the nurse came in and gave me an oral pill that was much milder than Pitocin that's supposed to help contract. I was very restless through the night.... In my room was me, hubby, mom, dad and my two sisters ages 23 and 19. Everyone was sleeping soundly except me lol. Through the night the nurse would put me on monitor for 2 hours then off an hour then back on... Contractions still werent getting where they needed to be. So around 645 I got another dose of the pill. I started to feel some light pains do I opt to get in the jet tub IN my room.... I laid in there for about 25 minutes... Got out put my gown back on and came out. About 10 minutes later... 720-730am I started to feel my contractions getting harder to where I had to begin to pace the room... I quickly went tinted I rent on pin my hair up between contractions and kept pacing. They were getting hard so I called for my mom to get a nurse to check me... I was at a measly 5-6 cm!! Ughhhh the agony.... I had a ways to go... It had to be about 815am at this point and the pain was getting unbearable but I fought through... I got IN the bath again and fought through the contractions as hard as I could... But the fourth one that came around I felt the strongest sensation IN my rectum.... I just knew she was coming so my mom ran for the nurse and she grabbed the Dr... They didn't even want to check me... I had another contraction walking from the tub to my room so the Dr rubbed my back and then helped me on the bed.... All she said was to push on my next contraction to see if I was ready... Sure enough in that first push she could see my little lady's head!! This started at 8:50am...by 8:55 I gave birth to the most beautiful little blessing I could dream of!! 7lbs 1oz and 20 inches!! She was perfect!! All was well...or so it seemed. Ask I held her.. Skin to skin admiring the God given gift in my arms... The Dr was struggling to get my placenta out... And that pain was excruciating!! Another dr got called in and long story short I was bleeding almost to death and surgery was immediately needed.... I honestly didn't know how to react because my attention was focused on my daughter. I had to give her to my mom and the nurses as my husband gave me a kiss and we prayed and I was wheeled away. Not sure if I was gonna make it or see my little girl again I out complete trust in God. And all went well❤ we had to stay a few days in the hospital to monitor you bleeding. I had a balloon IN my uterus and a catheter and a tube to drain the blood. After pushing out a baby talk about uncomfortable lol! But when all is said and done... IM sorry grateful to finally be home... And healthy with my baby girl! She is a whopping 10 days old now and so perfect!! Thank you Glow for accompanying us on this journey!
