I think it all depends on both of the partner's sex drives. Once a month seems pretty infrequent to me, but if you and your partner are happy and it's working for you, then more power to you both

When he broke his hand and was taking codeine everyday and he couldn't keep it up... I got frustrated and depressed, I fought him on it until he went back to the doctors and switched to a different pain killer.  Yea I'd get worried... because any longer than two weeks and I get super antsy/ angry/ worked up and it leads to fighting

Depends...
There are months he's put on a project at work that demands he work for 60-80 hours a week. He comes home so exhausted he doesn't even want to eat or shower. So if we don't have sex during that time, I understand completely and don't give it a second thought.
But if he's working "normal" hours (40-50), then I'd think it was odd he didn't want to have sex, since we usually do at least 4 times a week...
