best breast pump?

My insurance sent me the Medela pump in style advanced. My lactation consultant said it wasn't very good but wouldn't say why so I'm thinking about buying one out of pocket. Any suggestions?

Your LC lied, it's one sod the best. I've never met someone who didn't like theirs. Lol 😂

I chose a Spectra through my insurance rather than a Medela after reading several online comparisons. I absolutely love it.

This is the one I have as well.  I agree with others.  Try it out FIRST and then, if you really hate it, try something else.  Almost all of my friends swear on Medela.

I love mine! It doesn't seem to have trouble getting my milk out  or draining me. I'm on baby number 2 and my pump is going strong. The  backpack is the best part. I don't completly agree with your LC but then again, what do I know, this is my second baby and my second medela pump in style. One I use at home one at work but still great in my opinion.

I have this pump and have had no issues, i pump to empty in about 5 minutes, so its pretty quick for me!

I heard that ones a good one try it out first if you feel like it doesn't work ask her which one would best my LC recommended the one you have

Are you in Canada? I used to work for a baby and mom store in Canada. Medela is what Canadian doctors recommend and I know Avent is recommended in USA. The pump in style is the second best double breast pump of the medela range. The top one is the freestyle. The difference is that the freestyle has some extra settings as well as a pocket motor you can walk around with.
