Nursing tanks: worth it or not?

So I'm wondering if I should invest in a few nursing tank tops. I've also heard of people just using a regular tank under a regular shirt (not 100% how that goes but I'm game if someone cares to explain).

What are your thoughts?  Is it worth investing in nursing specific tanks or should I just invest in a few new regular ones?

With my first, I lived in mine! I wish I knew what happened to them because now I have to buy more 😩 lol but I think they are worth it especially if you are breastfeeding or pumping. I exclusively pumped for 5 months and those tanks were so convenient

I'm not spending the money on nursing tanks, I figure I have plenty of tank tops that can easily be pulled down for nursing! I figure that's the one area where I can save some expense :)

I LOVE mine! I live in them. Mine are like regular camis but they clip down. My boobs are big right away but definitely go back to normal/smaller after a bit. I personally don't like just pulling my told down because I don't want them all stretched out and they just don't stay down as well because I don't have big boobs to tuck them under. 
And I have trouble finding nursing bras that fit well so many of them are too big (even smalls) and after nursing when you're empty they are then baggy and I don't like all that loose fabric

FTM so haven't purchased any yet. I have been stocking up on tops (not necessarily nursing) which pull down easily and are patterned = leakages and nursing dribbles would be easily hidden 👍🏼

I nursed my son for 15 months. Didn't buy one nursing shirt or bra. This time I got two super cheap tanks so we'll see if I end up using them!

I loved mine first time around! I get mine from target. They have a brand that is like a spandex material so I felt like they helped with keeping my stomach in during the loose skin stage. You can even wear them before baby. I wear mine now because they have a built in bra also! So worth the money

I like them, just depends on the fit, I unfortunately have very big boobs 34DDD/E while nursing, and a small frame, so I need a size large for coverage but small for body fit, so they don't work for me that great, I find spaghetti strap tanks are good because you can just loosen the straps and haul them down from the top. I do have a couple of nursing tanks I used at first, I got them cheap but eventually stopped using them. I like to use a lounge/pajama shirt at home that has a button v neck, or even shirts that have a vneck that you can just haul down, those are good too. You will find your groove and what works easiest for you.

I bought 2 just to have and when I find out if I can fully nurse and have no issues then I may go back and buy a few more to make it easy on myself
