are baby showers worth it ?

I'm stuck on if I should spend so much money on a baby shower when I could buy everything we need with that money. Do you guys think it's worth having a baby shower and did you get everything you really need ? Or want ? ..

Usually someone else hosts the shower for you. So it's no cost to you. We didn't view our shower as a way to get "things". We purchased everything we really needed ourselves and then registered for little things (onesies, toys, etc.) that are nice to have but we didn't NEED. I was excited for my shower to be able to celebrate becoming a new mom and my child.

It's only expensive if you make it expensive. I doubt mine will cost over $150 with food and a few decorations.

It all depends I guess how. I have you spend on it kinda thing if you could have it at someone's house that would save abit and maybe only have picky foods.  I did get somethings I needed but I found a lot gave clothes family gave me things I needed and asked for.  But I stil had to go buy couple things anyways but wasn't much by no means and I got gift cards and money so you could use that for items too.

I love celebrating and throwing events and I tend to go all out. My baby shower was everything I wanted my sisters helped , but I'll admit my budget was a bit much lol but I'll do it again 😈😈😈

If you plan on doing it yourself,budget don't go all the way out. A few decorations,easy finger foods,cake,and invitations. I'm doing it outside and doing most of it myself but I am making a list of exactly what to buy for it.
