Do kegels help with child birth?

Just wondering, like does having a strong pelvic floor make labor easier/less painful?

Yes because you know how to use those muscles plus I felt that I had less accidents when I sneezed or coughed after doing them when I was farther along

But I think theyre more for afterwards.  Having the control there helps with bladder malfunction (see sneezing and coughing) plus afterwards they'll help you tighten up so sex won't be much different for you or the daddy you can have 'fun' with them too. My son is 8 years old and I still do them when I'm watching TV

I regret not doing them. I pee a little when I sneeze if I'm not careful! Mind you, the birth of my son was amazing even without doing them.

Yeah i dont know if they help with the birth, but everything loosens down there and makes holding your bladder difficult.  Kegels keep you continent, so even do then after baby is born.

No, they don't really do anything for during birth, but after you will be glad you did them (and your hubby may be as well!)
