In general, I find that the younger the generation, the more they are reaching out to help others. I get hate for being a millennial, and also see the generation after mine as a bit spoiled and technology addicted, but all in all, I think that America is going to be one heck of a great place once all of these little dudes get old enough to join us in the voting booths and even run for office. ;)

Literally the American attitude and social culture is "me me me" and "individual everything." We aren't a very community focused country, we put WAY too much emphasis on the individual which makes us selfish as a society.

I don't know if it's necessarily just America, but this is where I live so it's what I can respond to. I'm not sure if selfish is the right word. But I feel like people are just rude! Everywhere, everyone is rude and inconsiderate of the people around them.

I think it will only get worse as wealth inequality increases under Lord Dampnut (Trump anagrams FTW!) and the GOP majority. When people are fighting over increasingly small pieces of the pie they are inclined to take care of themselves first. It's a basic survival instinct. I just hate that so many people keep voting against their self interest.
