what would you do

My boyfriend's mom doesn't like me because "I'm too good and I'll leave him" and he "chose me over her" which isn't necessarily true bc when she says stuff like "you're the worst fucking son" he's not just gonna be happy. But it's not as if he doesn't love her and still think about helping her out.  I haven't done anything but support him in all his troubles and haven't done anything to her so I don't care that she doesn't like me. Am I wrong? Should I try to build a relationship with her?
