C section

Has anyone had a c section before and put under general anesthesia? How long from when the baby was out til you were awake and able to hold your baby?

Its being decided Monday if Im being put under or being awake for my c section. I will most likely be put under and Im just worried about how long Ill be out of it. I want to be the first to hols my baby, but my husband will be the first, but I just want to know how long it all takes?

I have a rare brain condition where everything with my brain is fine its just positioned lower into my neck and effects the Cerebral Spinal Fluid from flowing properly. I have had surgery to help it but theres no cure. So thats why I am having a c section and also there no studies on pregnant women with my condition so we are being really thorough with figuring out what's best.
