35+6 pregnant

This is my first pregnancy idont know how it feels when youre in labor but i got bad cramps and tightening in my tummy its been on & off for 3 hours it goes away but ny tummy remains hard and comes back as if i have gas but when i go to the bathroom it dosent seem to go away .. i dont know what to do should i wait a few hours before doing anythin or is it normal
