Do you get angry with anti-vaxers?

Feel free to comment. Personally, it angers me to no end but I try not to get in fights over it because it usually leads nowhere. However, I try to kindly educate whenever I can.

It's not a belief, or disbelief in something. Saying you "don't believe in having your child vaccinated", is like saying you "don't believe in unicorns"... It's science. Viruses mutate and spread, and put people at risk. It doesn't matter what you "believe" in. Your beliefs are wrong, if they cause a negative impact on fellow human beings. Period.

It drives me crazy how many people believe one false study about vaccines and are ignoring everything else such as how herd immunity protects everyone

I get annoyed with bullheaded stupidity, and I have no problem telling people off for it. So yes, I do get angry with them. They remind of the fundamentalist religious crazies who think that when their kids get cancer they can "pray" it away and refuse to seek medical help, and are then subsequently ordered to do so by the courts(or they lose their kids for child endangerment). That's where the future of anti-vaccination is going to lead. Which sucks because we want the courts and government interfering as little as possible when it comes to our bodily autonomy, but they are going to cause widespread disease and force big brothers hand, which will be worse for all of us in the long wrong. Bloody idiots.

I only get angry when my child is at risk. Like the MMR vaccine can't be given until 12 months and there's a big outbreak of measles right now. My daughter has gotten the first dose of the MMR but she just barely turned 1. People say that "You have no need to worry if you vaccinate" and that's kind of true. But an infant doesn't get that luxury. It's just a little frustrating.

I live in Southern California and it was recently on the news that FORTY students at a high school in my city were asked to leave school for a week after one of the teachers got the measles, presumably from Disneyland. My best friend has never had even one vaccination. I always tell her "I love you, but if polio makes a comeback..."

Its their choice an no one else's. Anyone can harass others til they are blue in the face, it doesn't matter it is their choice and they will do what they want so their is no point in attacking others for their views.
