As long as he knows when and where to draw the line. A man that puts his family before his wife every single time or even regularly enough for me to have a problem with it, isn't the man for me.

My in laws hate me lol and I don't care. They did it to themselves by playing favorites with my kids and their other grandchild and when I said something they didn't like it told my husband to leave me and pretty much steal my car and kidnap my kids well we both put our foot down. And we recently got into a fight again because of the stuff my FIL said to my husband and the names he called both of us so they're cut out for good!

My grandparents hate my mum (purely because she's Catholic, sent all her kids to private schools and the fact that she came from a slightly more wealthy family). When I was young I never noticed and my mum made sure to never poison us against them. But then my grandmother really stepped over the line and things just exploded. In the end my grandparents told my dad that he and his kids were welcome in their home but not my mum (all my mum wanted was for them to apologize to her for something they did). So my dad told them that they could apologize to our whole family or never see us again. We haven't seen them since. It's really sad (especially for my dad), but my parents relationship wouldn't have survived if my dad didn't stand with my mum.

So for me I will not marry a man who can't stand by me and make me his priority over his parents. If he can do that and his parents hate me then yes I'd marry him.

Depends on how much drama was involved. My ex boyfriend who I was with for 7 years had a family that was awful. It was miserable to deal with.

My husbands family is amazing though! I love them so much and his mother is my best friend. It makes life so much easier.

It's not about the family you not married to the family you married to him. It would be different when yal get married cause then he would have to put his foot down and let it be known he is married and nobody will disrespect his wife

My mother in law tried to get my husband to leave me before I got pregnant so he wouldn't be "stuck" with me
She tried to get him to stay at her house after he got back from being away for 6 months with the army, she didn't want him to even tel me he was home (we had been married over a year at this point) 
She's constantly getting mad and trash talking me because I don't bring our baby to her house. She smokes inside and my son has a smoke allergy so it's not gonna happen. She's been told why many times but doesn't care. 
I could go on and on lol my MIL gives me a hard time but I've learned to ignore it and go on with my life

His family and I usually get along really well. But then we got engaged and are having a baby and moving in together, and they realized they weren't able to make decisions for him anymore. Now I'm "taking him away from them" (they see him now more than they ever did before me) and they're constantly trying to tell him what to do and how to do it, as far as our finances and child go. It irritates both of us to no end, because each decision we make is one we have sat down and made together. So for anyone to try to butt in and argue with us about it or demand an explanation for it is insulting and highly annoying. But after we took some hits because he began listening to him, he realized we were better off doing what we had talked about and planned. So we have just minimized how much of a part they are in our lives for right now. 
Yes. I will marry him, even if they don't change. Because he's proven that we are going to do what we decide is best for us, no matter what anyone else says or does, and isn't afraid to put people on their place. Even family.
