don't wanna cause a racial uproar

Now before I post this I just wanna say the only reason I'm posting this on here is bc I don't have any other social media & I would rather hear from personal experience rather than just googling🤔 but this is about Afro American hair...but QUESTION: What is a good alternative to relaxers? In other words what can I do to my hair to manage as it grows out the perm? Long story short I've gotten relaxers all my life. Since having a baby my hair hasn't been relaxed in like 4 months 🤔 so now I'm having a lot of breakage like a lot! 😩 Now I'm looking to cut my hair about neck length & just let the perm hair grow out. I've heard of getting blow outs but never tried, don't know too much about them. I'm too chicken to cut off all my hair & just start over, so I just wanna do little by little.. any comments or advice thanks.

From my experience working on clients in beauty school:Blow drying African hair straight doesn't work super well. It takes a long time and I was never able to get it as straight as it could be with a flat iron or relaxers. It pretty just made it wavy instead of curly, and super poofy and frizzy. So I would blow dry it to the best of my ability and then finish with the flat iron. There really isn't any other way to get it silky straight other than relaxers, flat irons, and blow dryers. (That I know of). Natural African hair is absolutely gorgeous though 😍 definitely doesn't need straightening.

Just go natural. Use dark and lovely au natural products twist ur hair and every three months get wash, press and trim. Also taking multivitamins with botin is good for hair, skin, and nails.

When you take a shower wash your hair and don't blow dry. Leave it wet and put it in a ponytail then once it completely dries just brush it out. I stay away from perms but due to my edges I have to wash them out it in a ponytail so they will lay down.

If there is a Dry Bar near where you live go get a blow out! It's $45 but lasts a while and we all do a lot of training for every hair type    Just plan on booking a two hour apppihtment OR request someone who can do Afro hair quickly. I can do it, just takes me a lot longer than some of the other girls. Anyways you get a shampoo and then a blow out!
