Im on Depo. Nausea???

I am on Depo. Okay I have really been on and off of it since I've been like 15...is it true that they say you can only use it like once every two years and why??? I had my baby and ever since I've gotten in it certain smells or tastes make me naseous. I SAS eating papa johns pizza yesterday and their sauce on the pizza made me sick to my stomach. I've never really felt the way I do before. I feel like I'm in my first trimester. But I'm NOT pregnant..is this normal? I'm afraid to get on any other birth control because I know how this one...well I use to know how it affected me and I'm afraid to get pregnant on anything else...help please. :( (PS. Baby was planned)
