Thyroid testing??????

I will ask my doctor of course and find out but I just wanted to ask you ladies is it possible for us to get our thyroid tested during pregnancy? I just feel like I've been having such a struggle to lose weight. Even before my pregnancy.

Yes!  It's just bloodwork. Make sure they do the full panel though, not just the T4 and TSH. Have them check your anti-bodies and everything! I have thyroid disease and I have such a hard time loosing weight. It is also extremely important to be monitored during pregnancy. My endocrinologist has already increased my synthroid dose.

Yes,  its just blood work.  I had my thyroid levels tested.

Mine was done when I got all my initial blood work done at 9 weeks (I think?) I wasn't even aware that they did until I got a call telling me that my thyroid levels were higher than they would like for pregnancy. I'm sure they did yours too and I'm sure they're fine if you didn't hear anything! But it doesn't hurt to ask either

That's what I wanted to ask mines came back... and said they'll check it again... what does that mean good or bad not to mention I haven't gained any weight yet

It's just bloodwork. I had half my thyroid removed a few years back and take synthroid. Both obgyn and endocrinologist said they will test every 4 weeks since it'll have to be adjusted throughout

Yep! Mine was tested as part of the large blood draw and check for other things.
