Best place to live in Los Angeles, CA!

I had no clue where to post this but either way decided to post it here hoping I can get a lot of help from you guys. 

I'm a FTM with a 1 month old and currently live out of the states but I'll be having to move in 2 months to LA. I don't have any family there or really any friends there either I'll be new to the city and I hear there's many places around and different things but not sure which one would be best for me. I am really looking for a place that is safe not too loud and baby friendly and ofcourse the most important thing affordable! I would like if those who know more about Los Angeles recommend me cities/towns near that I should look into.
