Zoloft while breastfeeding?

Just got prescribed to Zoloft to help control my postpartum depression/anxiety .. My baby is 3 weeks old and I don't want to give up breastfeeding. The doctors say it's fine but of course I still have anxiety about it. But I've got to be on medicine to help my relationship with my Husband. I'm very emotional and moody. Anyone else taking Meds and breastfeeding?

I take zoloft for PPD as well. I started it when my son was about 3 months old, so been on it about 8 months now. He's 11 months and I still breastfeed him and haven't had any issues. I was told a small amount of the med could go through the breastmilk but he shouldn't notice it but to keep an eye out for him becoming more sleepy or jittery. If that happened then I'd need to go off it but he was fine. I understand, I needed the med too, my PPD came out as anger, rage and harmful thoughts.
