I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS ðŸ˜
Due July 2017 and so excited about having this baby! But, I'm a FTM and have no desire -- in fact, a revulsion -- to buying baby gear. I have browsed Amazon, been to Babies 'R Us, and Target. It was so overwhelming and confirmed my suspicions. I don't want this stuff. The baby can drink breast milk and sleep in a cardboard box, and be perfectly happy.

If I do have to do this whole baby gear thing, are there some streamlined/minimalist options? I don't want cup holders, MP3 attachments, plastic things with colors bells and whistles...in my opinion those things get old, outdated, or lose their novelty quick.

Fortunately, my husband is more excited about buying things. We live a fairly nomadic life and are often in different countries, so we are hoping to get away with a playard/pack and play for sleeping and a collapsible car seat/stroller combo for transportation. We won't have a nursery.

Again, I vote cardboard box and baby sling, but maybe that will change when baby gets here.

If you can help me either see the error of my ways, or recommend some streamlined, functional gear, maybe I can turn this bad attitude around.
