What are all of these tests for exactly?

Hello ladies I'm 41 yrs old my af due 2/15, 2/16. I have a question and really looking for some answers. My GYN told me if my af shows this month as we are in our second month ttc he will start doing some test, he said one is done when I'm on cycle day 3 FSH he said and a anti MULLERIAN test????does anyone know what that is? He also said a test to see if my tubes may be blocked but what day of my cycle would I go for that? I am staying hopefull as I'm on dpo 6 today but am very focused if Af does show. I'm ready to take all the tests I can to see if all is normal.any thoughts. Babydust to all. ✨💕✨💕✨💕✨💕

Your FSH is your follicle stimulating hormone and basically tells you how hard your body has to work to produce follicles. Ideally you want it to be below 10. It fluctuates every month. However, your Dr will use whichever is the highest number to determine anything. AMH is anti mullerian hormone to tell you about your egg reserve. If your level is low, don't freak out, you can still get pregnant. Mine was and I did it! An HSG is an xray where they put a dye into you so they can see if you have a blocked tube or unattached, etc... You do get cramping with this, so if your sensitive ask if you can take something prior, like extra strength Tylenol. (I had bad cramps for a couple of hours and just wanted to lay down) That test is how I found out I had a unicornuate uterus. Sorry for long response, I've just been through a lot so if I can help and pass on any info, I'm glad to do it. Good luck!

I suggest you google 'day 3 fertility tests' and 'HSG tubes'. That should tell you a lot of info.

The tests are to determine if you are still fertile.  The HSG is to see if you have a blockage that might prevent egg from meeting sperm.

Ur advice is so welcomed, so I went out today and got a basal thermometer and will begin tomorrow morning before I get out of bed. Today I'm 9dpo, so I will be starting tomorrow morning. Thank you.

Thank you ladies so much, had my sit down today with my GYN and he explained everything to me, feeling so much better. The reason he first didn't explain what all the tests meant indetail was he wanted me focused on the now, but he does have many tests pendin if Af does show which makes me feel so much better. He did explain to me that ttc for second month isn't long at all even at 41, but will take the tests if Af shows. I'm stayin positive either way. ✨💕✨💕✨💕✨💕babydust ladies and thank you.
