Blood clot but no period? TMI!!!!!

I have had pelvic pain sorta like cramps for a week now. On Sunday I spotted a little light pink (no cramps) and Monday I spotted a little darker but not red (no cramps). Today however I had the dark spotting with no cramps. Yet today I went to the restroom at work just to get away from work for a little well I ended up going pee however when I turned to flush I looked down and sitting in the bowl was a big red blood clot that was about and inch and a half long. I am confused because it's not like a period, there is no blessing and no real cramps other than last week. I am confused because I have irregular periods and I don't know what to think.
