Baby slept 5 hours?😶

She's only a week old and slept for 5 hours straight. I didn't even think of setting an alarm to wake her to nurse because she's been nursing every hour. I feel so awful like I'm starving her😣

No way! As long as she is back to her birth weight, it's perfectly fine to let her wake you when she's hungry whether that's 1 hour or 5. I would probably just set an alarm for 5 hours just in case though. But the more you both sleep, the happier you'll be. Enjoy it!

I never wake a baby who is back to birth weight. All of my babies have done long stretches starting around 2 weeks. (Lucky us!!)

As long as baby is gaining weight and back to birth weight you don't have to wake them. My baby gained weight slower then most so I had to wake him every 2-3 hours. Just make sure you pump if she misses a feeding or 2. That way your supply doesn't dip and you can keep building it. Most say don't pump until 6 weeks, but you can if baby is sleeping that long.
