What age childminder would you be happy to leave your child/children with? I am about to take a course to become a childminder, i have a beautiful home with a big yard, i want to become a childminder but fear parents will not agree with my age?

It all depends on the maturity and stability of the child minder in my opinion, some 25yo are really immature and wouldn't know the first thing about childcare and some 19yo already have two or three children a stable home and are very mature. Especially if you have the qualification to show them! And try babysitting for family and friends (give them a lower, competitive rate) first to build your CV and references up :)

I started babysitting for a family when I was 14. And I have gotten so many recommendations since then. I babysat for several families in my hometown before I moved due to my husband being military. I have been here not even a year and have people asking me to babysit or cover their babysitting job cause they're going out of town. I just turned 20 and currently watch a 2 month old baby full time.
