Big baby at 25 weeks - anyone else?

I went in for my 25 weeks scan yesterday and the baby is measuring really big for his 'age'. He weighs 1.1 kilograms (about 2.4 pounds). He weighed 500 grams at my 20 week scan! The doc even remarked what a big boy he was! My EDD has also changed from 17 May (according to my last period) to 28 April. What I want to know is, does anyone else have a big baby on board and if your EDD reads earlier on the ultrasound are you using that or sticking with the original EDD given by your gynae?

I've read that up until week 20 all babies are basically anatomically the exact same size. After that, they grow at various rates depending on genes and mother's body. EDD should never be altered after 20 weeks because of that...not as accurate. Your baby is beautiful and looks so healthy - good job, Mama!

I'm expecting a baby girl and she seems to be measuring small 😔 My EDD based off my LMP was May 3. When I got my ultrasound my EDD changed to May 20. My first child which was a boy always measured small too. He weighed 4pounds at birth.

I'm in a very similar situation! Baby girl has measured exactly on point all along, with a due date of May 17th as well! I had my 25 week appointment two days ago and she is now measuring at 29 weeks! I'm scheduled for an ultrasound to see if she had a major growth spurt or if there's extra fluid or something. I wouldn't be sad if her due date got bumped up : ))

My baby boy is measuring big too. My due date has been moved up twice so far . I am going by the new due date.
