Down's Syndrome with only one soft marker?

I went for my 20wk "gender reveal" scan last Wednesday, and I got a call from my OBG Friday morning, apparently they saw a small EIF in the baby's heart :( they said that in and of itself, it isn't dangerous, but that it is a soft marker for Down's Syndrome. There were no other visual signs (missing nose bone, thickened back of the neck, shortened limbs, etc.) I'm going back for a Level 2 ultrasound next week, they said that maybe the EIF will have disappeared by itself, and if it hasn't, from that point I'll move to a blood test that's 99.99% accurate.

Has anybody else had this happen, and it came back that your baby DID have Down's with only ONE soft visual marker? I opted earlier on to not have any genetic testing done, I figured we'd do it later if the time came, and I guess it has. Not feeling too great about all of this, and I'm way too far along to even consider terminating, so any advice or related experience is helpful!

My baby boy has that. Same exact thing. My DR told me not to even worry - this is very common. We opted out of any genetic testing or indication. We don't care either way.

My baby boy has the same thing I did the blood work and everything came back perfect my doctor says she sees it in boys a lot and usually when they are born they are just fine (:

I had bloodwork done for Spina Bifida and Downs done at my 16 week appointment, both came back negative. But at my 20 week anatomy scan they found a small EIF. I have to go back March 3rd for my level 2 ultrasound to see if has disappeared.

I had the harmony test at 12 weeks. It was low risk. Then they found an EIF at 19 weeks. I went for the level 2 ultrasound, and the nurse practitioner said since the harmony test was low risk I should have nothing to worry about. I'm currently 22 weeks.

We didn't do blood work with my daughter. She had the calcifications in her heart and fluid in her lungs which they thought would prevent her heart from growing. The specialist said not to worry about it and by the follow up the fluid was gone and he said not to worry about the calcifications.. They didn't tell us much at the time, but I found out later that they suspected DS. Now she's almost 4 and no health problems.
