nexplanon and lamotrigine(lamictal) reactions

So today I got the nexplanon implant and I had a appointment with my psychiatrist before I got it and asked about drug reactions with all of my other meds. The only one he said was lamotrigine would decrease the effectiveness of the brith control by 10-20%. So when I was getting the implant on at planned parenthood I told the person who put it in that that's what my psychiatrist said, she disagreed. She said that the implant would mess with my lamotrigine. So I went online to look for more answers but still, I'm seeing both explanations. Do any of you take lamotrigine and use the nexplanon implant? And what has it done to your medications and or your implant? I'm so confused
