Any momma have an IUD?

I'm 2.5weeks pp and at my appointment my Dr told me to start thinking about what BC I wanted. The only BC I've been on was the pill and I took that for 7-8years but I had to change it idk how many times from the headaches, mood swings, heavy periods, them making me crazy. So she suggested I get the Skyla IUD. Have any of ya'll had it or and IUD similar? And what we're ya'lls experiences with it? I've heard soooo many horror stories, but my OB said those were most likely about the older IUDs not the newer ones. Any information/insight would be helpful!
