Is decaf coffee okay?

I have been craving coffee SO much during pregnancy. I'm 27 weeks and was wondering if a very small amount of coffee is okay? Decaf coffee obviously. Any thoughts?

You can have regular caffeinated coffee, it's actually better for you than decaf.

I drink coffee every day.  If not I would get a headache

You're better off with a small cup of regular coffee than decaf said my OB. You're allowed 200 mg of caffeine a day, so take into consideration that other foods and drink can have caffeine and just monitor your intake is all 😊 
 
I have a 9 month who hates sleep so I've had a small cup of coffee just about every day in the morning after my 1st trimester was over.

I was told that the chemicals they use to remove the caffeine to make decaf is actually worse for you than regular caffeinated coffee. My doctor said it is safe to have up to 200mg of caffeine per day so maybe one or 2 grande Starbucks coffees.

A small amount of caffeine is said to be okay, and I agree with everyone else that the chemicals used to make decaf is not good for you at all. Another alternative is a brand of coffee called mommee coffee, which is organically decaffeinated or half caff. I ordered some on Amazon when I first became pregnant.
