fighting all naps and bedtime normal?

Question

Hi ladies, up until recently my little guy who is 6 months old nursed to sleep for every nap and bedtime but has since stopped wanting to do that. So now I rock him and pat him, sing to him or shush him which works, but the issue is he cries and cries for 10-15 minutes until he falls asleep. Is this normal? Nursing him to sleep was so peaceful with no tears so just feel bad if I'm doing something wrong.

Normal. They need to learn how to self soothe. 10-15 mins isn't bad especially if u just started letting him do it. My son is 9 months and about a month ago we started sleep training. He now takes a 45 min nap in the morning and a 1 2/2-3 hour nap in the afternoon. When it's time I just put him in there. Usually asleep with in 5 mins. Same thing at bed time. Took about 2 weeks to get there but was the best decision I've ever made.

My 6 week old fights sleep...LIKE CRAZY! She'll cry and cry and cry until she falls asleep..if her nuk falls out, she'll wake up and cry when trying to sleep..I'll rock her, pat her etc and she'll start to doze off then become wide eyed out of nowhere..it sucks cause then she's so cranky! Hopefully they grow out of it!!!!!!!
