Have you ever spanked your dog?

Just curious as alot of parents are fine with spanking their children as punishment and most would say its abuse to spank a dog...

I don't see it as abuse either way. I spank my kids and my dogs, and as a result I have very well behaved kids and dogs lol

lol I don't have to. He ate a leather belt as a puppy literally ate it all but the buckle. He was so sick for a week and we had to make him puke it out. well now if he is bad I just take my belt and put it on the floor where he can see it and he goes to his bed till i take it back up lol.

Yes. Countless times. All the animals I've ever owned were very hard headed. I don't see either of them as abuse.

I don't see spanking as wrong, kids or pets. I don't hit them hard. Just a little tap.

Ill give my cat a firm tap on the head/behind if he's being an asshole and biting me or something. I always say no too and he gets it. Of course I don't use full force with my whole palm considering how small cats are. A simple tap does the trick.

I've even put my dog in timeout. My youngest was being a brat to my old pug and kept stealing his cookie and I had had enough so I stuck my shih tzus butt on a tall stool and made her watch as my pug ate his cookie and got another one. She looked at me in disbelief but was nicer to the old guy for the rest of the day.

Yes but I always feel bad afterwards!!! My husky will be 11 this year and he's had his fair share because his breed can be a pain. I also know how short of a memory they have. I may never spank my chunk chunk again

I spank my cat on the butt. I always use my hand so I know I'm not hitting too hard. I don't think you should ever smack them in the head.
