When can you give your little one egg? My pediatrician is concerned that my little one hates solids and said to feed him what I would feed a 10 month old.... my son hates purée...

Guidelines vary. Here in Australia the updated advice is that there is no need to delay introducing foods like egg (both yolk and white) and such and that early exposure may decrease the risk of allergies. My bub has had egg since six months. I simply fry one up in a little bit of butter or oil and I cut it up into strips for her. She loves it.

My baby hates purée food too! Dr told us to give her anything and everything she reaches for basically that isn't a choking hazard and isn't honey. 
 I felt like I was forcing her to eat whenever I sat her down and gave her puréed food. Now, I just put bits of soft adult food in front of her and she picks at it, explores it, and eats some. It's much more enjoyable and less pressure for her!
