What if my cats feel replaced?

I'm scared that once the babies are born I'M m going to be really busy and my cats will think I don't love them anymore. That won't be true at all. Link and Xena were my babies first, and just cause they aren't all pink and fleshy like me doesn't make them any less family. How do I let them know that?

Just as you would with another child really. Don't push them away just because you have the baby on your knee let them be involved obviously they have to know boundaries like being in the crib etc but them them sit with you even if you have the baby on your knee.

My two dogs are my first babies, too. They get lots of love and attention and I hate leaving them at home when I go out! I'm going to handle it in a similar way as when we got our second dog. We'd already had Annie for a few years and really made a point of giving her one on one attention once we adopted Brutus. We've had him for 1.5 years now and I still make sure they each get separate time with me. I'm hoping I can keep that up when the baby comes. We're moving, too, so I don't want all the changes making them depressed!

Im so glad Im not the only one.. I cried the other day because I feel my dog and cats will feel left out... I have plans to include them in as much as possible and done research on adding a human baby to your fur kids.. But still it breaks my heart a little.. I just love them so much.

I have 3 cats, one we've had for 10 years and I say this to my husband all of the time.

My cat has designated herself babysitter/personal masseuse for the child. I'm trying to keep her involved, and she wants to be!!
