Are FitBits worth the money?

I would really like to purchase a FitBit. I've heard mixed things about them, so if l'd like to know what you ladies think :)

I got a jawbone for Christmas and my new years resolution was to "obey the jawbone"! Lol. I have been mostly and have lost 6 lbs which I am thrilled about.

I have one, I got it on a discount from work through our health program. I wear it everyday, and I check my steps and stuff, but I don't feel like I'm actually more motivated to walk more because I can see that. I do challenges with coworkers, but getting the Fitbit hasn't encouraged me to be more active than I was before I got it. Whether you get a jawbone, Fitbit, etc, you have to want to make an effort if you are trying to get healthier or more active, and the Fitbit is there to help you, but it's not a personal trainer, it's a bracelet that can only do so much.

I got mine for Christmas and boy did it open my eyes! I am a law student and an intern so I sit a lot and I never realized how little I move! I now make sure to go to the gym to hit my 10,000 steps and even at the end of the day when I get so close I do laps around my house to meet my goal. I only started going to the gym a week and a half ago and I already feel better hitting my goal. I would definitely suggest it :)

I had a jawbone 24 and it broke. I want another fitness tracker and have been looking into the Misfit Shine. It can be worn as a necklace, bracelet, etc. It is waterproof so can track swimming and is the only tracker to track cycling.  I haven't purchased yet because my company is switching health programs and I want to have one that syncs with their system. The fit bits are tempting, just not nearly as elegant or functional as the shine.

I have jawbone Up which is the same price (I think) and I love it! Fitness tracking is one of the best ways to help you shed extra pounds or reach  goals! Totally worth it!

I have the jawbone and it's great! It makes me feel accountable even when no one is around, so it's easier to stay on the right track
