tonsillitis?! Mucinex?

So I am pretty sure I have tonsillitis instead of a ear infection like I thought. Went to the doctors and they saw nothing wrong but my sore throat and painful swallowing has only gotten worse. Does anyone know if pregnant women can take mucinex?  There is so much and I need some kind of relief.

Mucinex isn't goona help that. That to get flem out of your chest. Tonsillitis is an inflammation.
