birth control & smoking?

i'm getting birth control tomorrow but also am an avid smoker (weed) could it effect anything ?? do any of you girls do it??

I'm on the pill and I smoke. For me it hasn't affected anything. Everything works the way it's supposed too, my body doesn't react any differently. My periods are perfectly regular. I wouldn't know if it degrades it's effectiveness, I take my pill on time everyday and my boyfriend always wears a condom. You should be fine. If you're worried, just pair your birth control with a condom or ask your doctor
