kegal exercises

I think I must be doing something wrong with kegal exercises. I don't seem to be getting any stronger and I still wee myself when jumping on the trampoline. I chalk it up to my excessive weight that I've carried for the last 20 years. I've recently lost 48 kgs though. Suggestions? I've thought about buying those kegal balls that you use an app with so they can track how hard you're squeezing and how long. Waste of money?
