My mom lives in New England and I live down south. I'm just shy of 7 weeks pregnant and (as long as everything goes well, I've had 3 previous miscarriages) would be due early October. My mom doesn't have much other family so she wants to be able to spend the holidays down here with us. I want this too but she asked if she could stay here for the month between thanksgiving and christmas.  My house is only 850 sqft and the only spare room is the nursery. This will be my husband and I's first and very likely only child. I feel like this is such an important time for my husband baby and I to have. This is when I'll be on maternity leave and I'm very independent. I feel awful that her feelings are hurt but I just don't feel like having her here that long is possible. Anyone have any ideas of how to smooth the waters?
