I am 19 and my husband (26 yrs) and I are expecting our first. He works full time and I work part time while being in school. My job is very fun and easy but in a couple months I'll quit because we really don't need the money. We have a 2 bedroom apartment and are looking to buy a house. I agree that it just depends on the person. A baby needs full commitment and all your attention in a healthy environment :)

All depends on how mature, emotionally and financially stable the person is. For example, a 19 who likes to go out and party like a "typical" 19 year old would not be ready. However, a 19 year old like me (I got pregnant at 19 but turned 20 a few months ago), who is extremely mature for my age, never cared about partying or drinking (I've wanted to be a mom my whole life), I'm in a stable, loving relationship, we have our own place and are financially able, I would consider ready. We talked about it before we started trying and both felt that we were ready and able to become parents.

I was a mom at 18 and 20. My girls are my greatest blessing. It can be to young for some people i believe it depends on the person and how mature they are and if they are willing to put their child first.
