It was very tough at first even though we had been together for several years. When we moved in, we started sharing expenses and finances and other responsibilities that we hadn't before. We were both pretty independent people and had different ways of doing things, so that was actually a pretty tough adjustment for us. But we learned to work together and plan for the future together, we came up with mutual goals and learned so much more about each other.

I moved in the day before he deployed. Then we married 2 days after he got home. We didn't actually live together before we married.
