I'm a teacher and I'm able to turn off swearing when I'm around kids but when I'm home or with friends I definitely swear a lot. I plan to keep it to a minimum when I have kids but it happens. I'll tell them they are adult words and not to say them until they are an adult. When a kid swears at school I tell them that we don't use those words at school, I can't control their home life but I can make the rules at school.

Don't have kids but my friends do. One says every single word in the book around him and sometimes to him, it's embarrassing. She actually called him a racial slur when he was 4😱 Definitely don't agree but super surprised at their strong relationship and that I've never heard him repeat any of it. I'm not a parent, therefore I have no grounds to criticize her "style" of parenting, but seriously 😒 c'mon.....that was too much. I'm on the fence about saying certain words in front of our kids. My parents didn't much, shit or ass sometimes. I would hear other words on tv and repeat them bc I didn't know they were bad. At 9, I called our dog "slut" bc I thought it meant stupid. I knew not to call her a bitch(even though she was) but was so embarrassed and I was in trouble and didn't know why. My older brother named his guinea pig Stupid so I thought it would be ok. Every kid is very different.

Yes but try to not do it as much since he is in the copy cat stage lol. He was doing something the other day and dropped it and said shit. Ugh
