I'm pregnant with my first child. My husband is in the military so where we live, I don't know many people and I don't have any close friends. He has friends here but I would feel odd inviting them to a baby shower and basically implying for them to bring me gifts when I don't know them. I know my friends and family back home will buy things off my registry and send them. I just don't want to not celebrate my baby. I know if I don't have a shower, I will really regret it. So what do you guys recommend?
