Can you only get STD's if you or your partner has it? Or can you guys get it in a different way? By a cut or something

Stds can be spread through infected  bodily fluids like blood, vaginal fluids, semen. Infected skin or mucous membranes. Like sores in the mouth. Can be spread through vaginal, oral and anal sex.

Side note on my needle sharing comment: I've been seeing a lot of self harm pix (myself included) I'm sure most ppl don't share their tools. However, if ur using house hold tools or easily accessible things like shaving razors scissors or pubic trimming tools even if u aren't cutting u do have a chance of spreading it. The chances are so small but still there especially when it comes to certain hepatitis strains. Sorry for the long comments, I can go on for days about the spread of preventative diseases.. literally everything pops into my head 😒🤗

The chances of u contracting it through a cut are highly unlikely. U would have to be bleeding as well as a partner having an open sore and u guys rub it together like a blood contract sure u can get it. Most of the time u get std/sti and hiv through sexual contact

1.sex 
-Anal being the easiest way to contract std/sti
-vaginal sex second easiest way 
-oral sex ( chances are smaller and u usually need an open sore to speed it to someone but can still contract it if the person u "go down" on is infected)

2. Needle sharing (heavy drug users or ppl who share needles) of u share needle talk to you health care provider about getting on Prep. Prep is a medication u can take to prevent the spread of HIV when u practice high risk behavior such as sharing needles multiple unprotected "anonymous" sex partners (aka hoeing and fucking tricks raw or just plain don't care about using condoms) while PREP prevents the spread of hiv it does not cure or prevent std/Sti/Hepatitis, ONLY HIV

3.Breast milk ,even sometimes birth and pregnancy (vaginal fluid is bodily fluid)
