So when I first started dating my fiancé, he had an ex (his daughter's mom) who at the time wanted to get back with him.  When she found out he was dating me, she hated me immediately.  Oddly enough though over time, something happened and we became friends.  I don't know if it's because his daughter liked me and she saw I was a good person for her or what.  We just started talking and now we're close friends.    Although my fiancé has an amicable relationship with his ex, they get in disagreements here and there and sometimes me and my fiancé get in spats.  I find because I'm so close with her now I vent our issues to her.  I'm beginning to think that despite she being a friend to me now, there's certain things I need to stop saying to her.  It's an awkward situation.  She's planning my baby's shower (I'm pregnant) and is always wanting to be super involved in our lives.  She even calls my unborn baby her nephew.  Although I like to think the best of everyone, I'm starting to think her being so involved is inappropriate.  I need to talk to someone objectively about how to handle this friendship.  My fiancé doesn't mind we're friends but hes not thrilled either.
