it might be the BC - i noticed when i started it, my appetite increased and i gained weight :(

It absolutely can be related to the birth control. Many BCs list "changes in appetite" as a side effect, meaning eating more or eating less than normal. As long as you're only eating when your body is telling you that it's hungry, you don't have to worry about anything.

It's most likely the birthcontrol. I remember hearing someone say it basically tricks your body into releasing some kinda pregnancy hormone (I really don't know might be a myth) but it would make sense since most ppl get weird appetite increase on it. I did when I was taking the pills. When I switched to the ring the only difference in my body was the 1 or 2 wild dark black hairs on my face
