I'm late

So I'm almost 2 days late, which I know is not much. I took 2 tests and both came put negative. I am never late, well only for one reason(pregnant). What I'm confused about is, I'm having slight cramping. I usually have cramping with my period but not until about I start bleeding. Has anyone ever have this happen to them and then find out they're pregnant?
