Possibly Pregnant

I wanted to write this anonymously because I may have family or friends on here that I don't want finding out yet, if I even am, pregnant. I'm having all the early symptoms and I'm supposed tohave started my period this week. I know many period and early pregnancy symptoms I'm having are the same but I have never experienced tender breast this severely in my life and I also am having more discharge than usual. I'm on the pill but my boyfriend and I also aren't always the smartest when it comes to protection. I'm not upset by any means and I'm going to take a test next week if I don't get my period by then. I guess where I'm going with this is how did you tell your families if you got pregnant at a young age?  I'm only 18 and I'm just kind of scared right now. Just need some advice😅
