I keep seeing post about checking temperature ? Not sure what this does but I'm curious to know 😊 AF due 2/20 anxious and nervous over here 🤞

It shows you precise ovulation day. It's also good in conjunction with opks. It confirms ovulation. Also, I got implantation dips before I found out I was pregnant. I still thought I was out because I was oh so pmsing, but hindsight, I ovulated on CD 18, implanted at 5dpo and got a BFP at 9dpo. You body temp stays elevated in pregnancy due to progesterone. The same reason it spikes after ovulated. Before my period would come, my temp would dip. I say that, but I charted and used opks one month and got pregnant. I had a miscarriage. We half assed TTC that month after and nothing. I didn't chart until after ovulation. The cycle after I charted and used opks and I'm pregnant again. I think it's a very useful took in TTC.

There is usually a dip in BBT before ovulation as well as before your period, so you can pin point ovulation and if you don't have a dip before AF is due then it could mean your pregnant! Although it isn't 100% accurate as many things can affect your body temperature
