Do you trust the sizing chart?

Question

So I'm not talking about when you baby turns 3 months you change to  3-6 month clothing but, asking about when the tag says "fits babies from 17-21 pounds"  is your baby ever smaller before s/he  grows out of the previous  size? Is that weight suggestion always right?

My daughter is 17 lbs at 16 weeks, she's wearing Carter's 6 and 9 months outfits. She's long so most of her outfits stop fitting lengthwise first. She's also a chub though 😂

3 months Carters goes to like 12.5 pounds I think and my daughter can still fit some of their stuff at 14 pounds lol every baby is shaped differently so it just depends. Like she fits the 3 months onesies but not pants because her legs are too chunky

Braylyn is 4 months born Oct 14th weights 13 pounds and still in 0-3 months and in the 20th percentile for height and weight.
